Truth: 67% of US unvaccinated adults believe or cannot judge the veracity of the 5 myths that follow. With more than half the population not fully vaccinated, there is more work to do.
The latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that 39.5% of the US population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19; 49.5% has received at least one dose.
The reasons for not getting vaccinated are many and varied. A recent survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) found that among those reasons are a number of myths that have been circulating for months and that continue to surface across social media.
The KFF analysis found that, overall, 67% of unvaccinated adults either believed or weren't sure about the truth of one of the 5 following longstanding myths.
